Apple Valley Swimmers Place At State

Delaney McDonald placed eighth in the 200-yard individual medley to pace the Eagles.

junior Delancy McDonald was eighth in the 200-yard individual medley to lead the school's girls swim team in the 2011 MSHSL Class AA girls swimming and diving state meet Saturday at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

McDonald finished in a time of 2:09.37.

Katherine Wright was 10th in the 100-yard backstroke in 58.90.
