Eagles Earn Championship Title; Jones Scores 28 Points

Apple Valley had no trouble defeating Park Center 74-57 on Saturday night at the Target Center.

A rematch between the Apple Valley High School boys high school team and Park Center—the only team to defeat the Eagles this season—ended in Apple Valley's favor on Saturday night.

The Eagles (31-1) took down Park Center 74-57 at the Class 4A state tournament championship on Saturday night at the Target Center. It's the first championship title for the team in seven state tournament appearances—a feat that earned the Apple Valley seniors a standing ovation as they exited the floor, according to the Minnesota Boys Basketball Hub.

Apple Valley junior led the game with a total of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while senior Dustin Fronk scored 18 points and junior Dennis Austin scored 15. Park Center's Quinton Hooker racked up 20 points.
