Eastview Baseball Takes State Title With 1-0 Win in 1 Hour, 20 Minutes

The Lightning beat Bemidji in the Class 3A state championship on Monday.

's baseball team made it the second state championship win of the spring for Lightning teams, besting Bemidji 1-0 at Target Field on Monday in its first state baseball appearance to take the Class 3A title.

The game lasted less than one hour and 20 minutes, according to a MN Baseball Hub/Star Tribune recap.

Eastview pitcher Evan DeCovich pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing just two hits and a walk, with five strikeouts.

DeCovich also had two hits in the game, and scored the team's only run after doubling in the second inning.

The Lightning had four hits total, with Cameron Hall and Quinn Trusty adding to the team total.
