Eastview Boys 4th Grade Basketball Wins State Championship

Eastview beat Winona 38-22 in Sunday's championship game.

The Eastview fourth grade traveling basketball team won the Minnesota Youth Athletic Services state championship on Sunday in Rockford, Minnesota.

The championship game featured Eastview against Winona. Eastview never trailed, and won 38-22.

The well-coached team was represented by boys from District 196, all of who eventually will attend .

The team was made up of the following members (jersey numbers in parentheses): Daniel Swedin (10), Sanat Iyer (12), Steven Crowl (13), Ryan Munson (23), Tate Machacek (34), Brody Hipple (41), Henry Levon (45), Austin Greven (50), Payton Kosioek (51), and River Alaqidy. Team coaches were Steve and Deb Machacek and John Greven.
