Eastview got on the scoreboard with about 27 minutes remaining in the first half when Michael Stockton netted a goal on a throw-in by Sam Fluegge. Pierce Erickson made the score 2-0 with a breakaway goal with about 14 minutes left in the half.

Kyle LaMott played a strong game in goal for the Lightning.

In the other side of the tournament bracket, Blaine came up with the upset of the tournament by defeating previously unbeaten and top-seeded Champlin Park, 2-1, in quarterfinal action at Park (Cottage Grove) High School. Blaine will meet the winner of Thursday’s Minneapolis South-Bloomington Jefferson quarterfinal in the tournament’s other semifinal match on Monday at the Metrodome.
