Eastview Girls Basketball Headed to State After Section Final Win
Eastview beat Park Cottage Grove by five points Thursday to advance to state, which begins Wednesday.
The girls basketball team is on its way to the state tournament after capturing the section 3AAAA title on Thursday night.
The Lightning, seeded No. 1 in the section, scored a 52-47 win against No. 2 seed Park Cottage Grove at Hamline University's Hutton Arena.
Madison Guebert notched 20 points in the victory, while Meghan Ryan had 14 and Amber Mehr had 11.

Eastview this season, and won its semifinal against Burnsville last Saturday, 62-45.

This year's state tournament will take place next week Wednesday through Saturday at the Target Center and University of Minnesota's Williams Arena.
