Eastview's Jake Heppner Named Mr. Lacrosse in Minnesota

Heppner has committed to play college lacrosse at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Eastview High School's Jake Heppner has been named this year's Mr. Lacrosse by the Minnesota Minute Men.

The awards for Mr. and Ms. Lacrosse, which recognizes "the two outstanding senior high school lacrosse players" of the year, according to the Minnesota Lacrosse Hub, are chosen by a panel of people in the Minnesota lacrosse community. 

Heppner at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He has 58 points and 62 ground balls this season, according to the Minnesota Lacrosse Hub.

Eastview play at 6 p.m. Tuesday against Edina at Chanhassen High School.

Christine Easton of Eden Prairie was named Ms. Lacrosse.

Rosemount's Matt Weller was a finalist for Mr. Lacrosse, and Apple Valley's Hannah Segar was a finalist for Ms. Lacrosse, according to the LAX Hub.
