-- Henrik Byrlev (Rosemount - guard)

“Henrik plays left guard for us and is putting together a solid senior season. Henrik had a great offseason where he lost 30-40 pounds to make himself quicker off the ball and it has allowed him to much more explosive,” Erdmann wrote.

-- Matt Heller (Lakeville South – wide receiver)

Heller, who catches almost everything thrown his way, had four receptions for 116 yards and two scores last week. Through four games, Heller has 19 catches for 365 yards and seven touchdowns.

-- Mitch Leidner (Lakeville South - quarterback)

Mitch was 10-for-15 for 201 yards and three touchdowns in one half last week. He has thrown for at least 184 yards in three of four games this season.

IRISH WINS IF...

Rosemount needs to hang on to the football after losing four fumbles in last week’s loss to Lakeville North. “You can’t beat good teams turning the ball over. We saw that last week,” coach Jeff Erdmann wrote in an e-mail. Irish defenders must also wrap up Cougar receivers. “We must be able to get their receivers down after catches so they don’t turn into big plays,” Erdmann wrote.

COUGARS WIN IF...

Coach Larry Thompson said the Cougars need to force turnovers and hang on to the football. South defenders must maintain their lanes and gaps when Rosemount runs its veer offense so as not to get beaten on a late quarterback pitch. Offensively, the Cougars need to remain balanced, setting up the pass with an effective running game. The Cougars threw for 201 yards in last week’s 42-7 win at Bloomington Jefferson -- all in the first half – and ran for 181 yards.
