Offenses Collide When RHS LAX Hosts Eastview on Tuesday

The Rosemount boys’ lacrosse team will get a solid test Tuesday night when the No. 3-ranked Eastview Lightning venture to town. Eastview is undefeated on the season at 6-0 and tied with Rosemount atop the South Suburban Conference with identical 3-0 records in conference play.

Eastview comes in with a potent scoring duo of Jake Heppner (20 goals) and Ryan McNamara (19) who have combined to help the Lightning average 14 goals per game.

The No. 6-ranked Irish have demonstrated plenty of their own offensive firepower in building a 5-1 mark on the season. Rosemount is averaging nearly 16 goals per game thanks in part to the scoring prowess of Matt Weller (22 goals) and Grant VanOverbeke (20).

Rosemount’s only blemish on the season has been a 13-12 road loss to Minnetonka. Eastview opened the season at home with a 16-15 overtime win against then No. 2-ranked Minnetonka.
