Photo Gallery: 7 Apple Valley Wrestlers Take Home Individual State Titles

The wrestling team entered Saturday’s Class AAA championship round with nine wrestlers competing for championships.

Seven succeeded.

The Eagles added seven individual championships to their storied successes Saturday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, some going to experienced winners and others going to first-time champions.

There was seventh-grader Mark Hall, a first-year wrestler for the Eagles who won his first state championship at 130 pounds.

And there was Destin McCauley, a senior who notched his fifth state championship of his career. 

In between, Matt Kelliher and Dakota Trom picked up their third titles, and Brandon Kingsley and Jordan Kingsley also won championships.
