PHOTOS: Despite Snow, Hardy Track Teams Compete in Rosemount
A girls track invitational and simultaneous boys meet were among the few sporting events not cancelled or postponed because of poor weather.
Local track and field teams battled each other—and the elements—during a multi-team track meet held outdoors on Tuesday at Rosemount High School.
The Rosemount girls track team hosted competitors from Eagan, Eastview High School, Henry Sibley High School, Northfield, Park High School and Prior Lake in an invitational that commenced at 3:45 p.m. The boys track team competed against Farmington in a 4 p.m. meet.
The event was one of the few South Suburban Conference competitions that was not cancelled or delayed yesterday in light of the poor weather. Rosemount girls lacrosse, softball and a number of Apple Valley events fell victim to the cold temps and remaining snow earlier this week.
