Photos: Eastview Boys Soccer Defeats Bloomington Jefferson 2-1
The Easview Boys Varsity Soccer team struggled on offense in the 1st half, but scored two goals during the 2nd half to beat Bloomington Jefferson 2-1 at Eastview on Tuesday night.
The Eastview Varsity team came into the game against Bloomington Jefferson with an impressive record of 6-0. Both and Jefferson failed to score in the 1st half of play. Eastview’s Goalkeeper Sam Ruelas did a great job of stopping several shots on goal. With 22:37 on the clock, Eastview’s Mathew Gweh scored a goal on a free kick, and he scored another unassisted goal six minutes later. Bloomington Jefferson scored a goal near the end of the game after Eastview’s Goalkeeper Sam Ruelas received a red card which resulted in a penalty kick by Jefferson. The Eastview Midfielders and Defenders did a great of keeping Jefferson out of scoring position in the 2nd half.
The 7-0 Eastview team will play the 5-1-1 Eagan Wildcats at Eagan on Thursday 9/15 at 7:00pm. Bloomington Jefferson’s record is now 4-2-2.
