Photos: Eastview Football Shuts Out Apple Valley 17-0
The Lightning played solid offense and defense against the Eagles to come away with a win on Friday night.
The football team scored on their first possession in Friday's game against crosstown rival , and never allowed the Eagles to catch up, winning out 17-0.
The Eagles had the ball at the Lightning 1-yard line in the first quarter, but the Lightning defense snuffed Apple Valley's attempt at a touchdown.
Eastview running back LeAndre Kennedy scored on a run up the middle with 3:42 on the clock, making the score 14-0 after a successful extra point by Eastview kicker Sam Fluegge.

Eastview settled for a three-point field goal with 2:17 on the clock in the third quarter after failing to get the ball into the endzone. The Apple Valley defensive team performed better in the 2nd half and limited Eastview to a single field goal.
The 2-3 Lightning will be at Burnsville on Friday, and the 0-5 Eagles will be at on Friday night.
