The Rosemount girls soccer team claimed its biggest victory of the young seasons with a 3-2 defeat of fifth-ranked Burnsville at home in the South Suburban Conference opener on Tuesday night.
After going down 2-0 late in the first half, the Irish rallied to knot the game at 2-2 by the break on goals from Hannah Halterman and Jennifer Dean.
Rosemount took a 3-2 lead on Melanie Simonson's score in the 58th minute and the Irish defense made the goal stand to deal the Blaze their second loss of the season.
