Rosemount Boys Basketball Loses Second Straight Heartbreaker

The Rosemount boys basketball team suffered its second straight heart-breaking two-point loss Friday, this time 65-63 to Lakeville South in overtime.
The Irish opened the week with a 52-50 home loss to Prior Lake.
Just six players scored for the Irish against the Panthers, led by Matt Nelson's 22 points and Cole Northwick's 19. The Irish were outscored 37-33 in a high-scoring second half, and 4-2 in overtime.

Rosemount topped Lakeville South 53-49 in their first meeting Jan. 10.
The Irish open a three-game homestand Tuesday against Bloomington Kennedy.

Rosemount 61, Lakeville South 58
The Rosemount girls avenged an earlier loss Friday when they came from behind to beat Lakeville South.
The Irish lost 58-43 on Jan. 10 in Lakeville, and trailed by six at halftime Friday night.
But Rosemount rallied for a 38-point outburst in the second half to pull out the three-point victory.
Hanna Grim poured in 24 points and was the only player in double figures for the Irish.
