Enjoy going places? William Wants to Come Along

Each week, Apple Valley Patch posts the profile of a child waiting for a mentor through south metro nonprofit Kids 'n Kinship.

First name: William

Age: 9

Interests:  William loves to play baseball & basketball, to build things, and to play board games.  He would like to go bowling, roller skating, to ValleyFair, Chuck E. Cheese, or Grandslam with a mentor.

Personality/Characteristics:  He is an active and talkative boy who wants a mentor to do things with.  His mom wants a positive role model for him, someone who will help him open up more, do well in school, and be respectful of others.

Goals/Dreams:  He wishes had a big racecar track.

Looking for: An active male mentor who likes going places and doing things together.

For More Information:  This child is one of almost 60 children currently waiting for a mentor through Kids ‘n Kinship, a private non-profit serving Burnsville, Apple Valley, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville & Rosemount in Dakota County for 39 years. If you're interested in becoming a mentor, you're invited to attend an information session on Thurs. Dec.1 6-6:45 p.m. at the Burnhaven Library in Burnsville. Mentors can volunteer as individuals, couples, or families for weekly fun and enriching activities at home or in the community on their own schedules.
