17 students from Apple Valley and two from Rosemount won academic-achievement honors from the Catholic school.
The following are students who made the Academy of Holy Angels Trimester I Honor Roll. Students who maintain a 4.000 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.000 scale are named Scholars of Distinction; students who achieve 3.6667 or above earn High Honors; and students who maintain a GPA of 3.2000 receive Honors. Seventeen Apple Valley residents and two Rosemount residents made the list. Four of the Apple Valley students had a perfect record. ***

Three Academy of Holy Angels students that are from Rosemount made the Trimester I honor roll. Haley Weis was placed on the high honor roll, and Huan Nguyen and Zachary Strayton were placed on the school's honor roll. The school's honor roll is divided into three categories Students who maintain a 4.000 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.000 scale are named Scholars of Distinction; students who achieve 3.6667 or above earn High Honors; and students who maintain a GPA of 3.2000 receive Honors.
The Eagles bested Academy of Holy Angels by a good margin in each of in three games on Wednesday.
Apple Valley High School's volleyball team downed Academy of Holy Angels in three games on Wednesday at home in its first section match. The No. 6 seed Eagles took the first game 25-14, and the second and third games 25-9 and 25-8, respectively, against the No. 11 seed. Apple Valley will face No. 3 seed Lakeville North in the next round of the section 3AAA tournament at 7 p.m. Friday at Lakeville North.
