The suspect was determined to be an acquaintance of the woman. He was eventually located by Hastings police officers and taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.

Dakota County deputies arrested one man following the alleged shooting incident, which occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. No one was injured.

At approximately 2:37 p.m. today, Dakota County Sheriffs Deputies were summoned to Spring Lake Park on a report of shots fired at a duck hunter. The caller indicated that a hunter was confronted angrily by another hunting party as he was placing his decoys in the water. Words were exchanged and eventually the argument grew heated, culminating with one party shooting a shotgun at the party in the water placing the decoys. Jeremy Alexander Johnson, 18, is accused of assaulting a classmate during a football game in gym class.
A Rosemount teen accused of knocking two of his classmate's teeth out during a gym class scuffle is now facing a criminal charge. Jeremy Alexander Johnson, 18, is charged with one felony count of third-degree assault following the incident, which occurred on Nov. 20, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Dakota County Attorney's Office. If convicted, Johnson could face a maximum of five years in prison and $10,000 in fines. Police responded to a Rosemount school on a report of an assault that occurred in gym class, according to the complaint. At the scene, officers spoke with multiple witnesses, who told police they saw Johnson punch the victim—a male classmate—in the face with a closed fist. One witness told police he saw Johnson…

Police say Joshua Phillip Hamilton of Rosemount and Richard Gene Arellano of Apple Valley jumped another student and fractured his finger.
Two men, one from Rosemount and one from Apple Valley, have been charged with assault in connection with an incident in February at a local high school in which the alleged victim’s finger was fractured. Joshua Phillip Hamilton, 18, of Rosemount, and Richard Gene Arellano, 19, of Apple Valley, each are charged with third-degree assault resulting in substantial bodily harm, a felony with a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. According to the criminal complaints, Apple Valley police were called to the high school, unnamed in the complaint, on Feb. 24 after a student reported that he had been assaulted by two other students. Among criminal charges made recently, a South St. Paul woman is charged with check forgery in Apple Valley and a Rosemount woman is charged with theft.
Joseph Bolding, 31, of Minneapolis, is charged with one count of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of domestic assault, all gross misdemeanors, after police say he assaulted the mother of his daughter in a school parking lot in Apple Valley. According to the criminal complaint, the woman told police in April that she was at her daughter's track meet, and Bolding was also there; the two were no longer together. Bolding walked their daughter to the woman's car and asked the woman if she had a new boyfriend. When the woman said yes and that they were moving in together, Bolding allegedly asked if they were sleeping together, then grabbed her butt, hip and left breast and strangled her.
