Rosemount Woman Charged with Kicking Officer After DWI Arrest

Police say Brenda Lynn Heinen kicked an officer in the leg when she was arrested for drunken driving on her 41st birthday.

  A Rosemount woman has been charged with threatening and kicking a police officer after she was arrested for drunken driving on her birthday. Brenda Lynn Heinen, 41, is charged with fourth-degree assault of a peace officer, a felony with a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a $6,000 fine. She is also charged with two gross misdemeanor counts of second-degree DWI, each of which has a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a $3,000 fine. A driver in the area of County Road 42 and Highway 3 reported to police at about 10 p.m. Dec. 16 – Heinen’s 41st birthday – that there was a driver in the area who was “all over the road,” according to the criminal complaint.
