New advertising opportunities could generate revenue for department operating budget.
The Rosemount Parks and Recreation Department is considering expanding its advertising opportunities. “With budgets being what they are and finances being tight, we’re looking for opportunities to offset the cost of operating,” said Dan Schultz, parks and recreation director for Rosemount. The department has been offering ad space on the city ice arena’s wall paneling since 1994. However, they are now discussing the possibility of expanding their offerings by increasing the number of advertisements on the paneling as well as providing ad space on the arena’s dasher boards and on the ice itself.
