VIDEO: Nicholas David Stages Homecoming Performance at St. Joe's in Rosemount

The musician's homecoming performance at his alma mater in Rosemount included a joint sing-a-long with current students at the school.

"It brought me to tears," Nicholas David recalled to an enraptured audience at the church Thursday afternoon. "I saw that you guys were praying. And knowing that’s where I came from, it really was a tremendous push to keep going." 'The Voice' Star Nicholas David Giving Free Performance in Rosemount

Nicholas David, who took third place on NBC's 'The Voice' last year, will perform at the Church of St. Joseph in Rosemount at 1 p.m. Thursday.

The singer, who took third place last year on NBC's "The Voice," will give a free, public performance at the Church of St. Joseph in Rosemount at 1 p.m. Thursday. The singer graduated from St. Joseph School in 1995—long before he was catapulted into the national spotlight on NBC's televised singing competition. Now, he plans to perform "Over the Rainbow" with St. Joseph students as part of a community celebration. All are invited to attend the performance.
