A Rosemount woman has been charged with threatening and kicking a police officer after she was arrested for drunken driving on her birthday. Brenda Lynn Heinen, 41, is charged with fourth-degree assault of a peace officer, a felony with a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a $6,000 fine. She is also charged with two gross misdemeanor counts of second-degree DWI, each of which has a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a $3,000 fine. Dozens of Dakota County residents—including five from Apple Valley—were charged this week with voting illegally in the 2008 general election, just days before the statute of limitations expired. A Farmington man has been charged with possession of child pornography when he was an Apple Valley resident, after authorities say they seized images from his computer of children as young as 8 in sexual situations. Mike Yeng Vang, 22, faces eight counts of possession of child pornography, each of which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Vang remained in the Dakota County Jail this weekend on a $30,000 bond after being arrested Friday on a warrant. An omnibus hearing in his case is scheduled for Sept. 26 in Dakota County District Court in Hastings. A warrant has been issued for a Rosemount man charged with attempted rape, after an April incident in which police say he threatened to rape a woman in the parking lot of an Apple Valley bar. Gilbert Edward Gage, 49, faces a felony charge of fourth-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct, which carries a maximum penalty of two and a half years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Police nationwide have been asked to look for him. According to the criminal complaint, Gage was at an Apple Valley bar in early April with a woman who told police that they argued after she refused to move out of state with him. A Lakeville woman was arrested Friday on a warrant accusing her of swindling her former housekeeper out of more than $800,000. Amy Janette Johnson, 43, faces a charge of felony theft by swindle, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $100,000 fine, and a felony charge of identity theft, which has a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
