All Four Incumbents Win in District 196 School Board Race

Joel Albright, Rob Duchscher, Jackie Magnuson and Bob Schutte retained their seats on the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District Board of Education.

The four incumbent candidates in the race for District 196's open school board seats have retained their seats for the next four years. Incumbents Joel Albright, Rob Duchscher, Jackie Magnuson and Bob Schutte received the four largest vote totals, according to unofficial election results reported by the school district. They ran along with three newcomers: Steven Butler, Fay Coggshall and Gary Krueger. The results, in order of number of votes obtained, with all precincts reporting: Magnuson (i): 2,583 Albright (i): 2,408 Schutte (i): 2,405 Duchscher (i): 2,402 Butler: 1,235 Krueger: 1,200 Coggshall: 992 Magnuson, who currently is the board's chairwoman, has served on the board for 22 years. Unofficial results were in to the district just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

UPDATE 9:08 p.m.: With all precincts reporting, unofficial election results from District 196 show the four incumbent candidates in the race for four school board seats have won the 2011 election. Candidates listed with number of votes obtained, final as of 9:10 p.m.: Albright (i): 2,257 Butler: 1,137 Coggshall: 930 Duchscher (i): 2,241 Krueger: 1,117 Magnuson (i): 2,404 Schutte (i): 2,260   FROM 8:55 p.m.: At 8:55 p.m., with all but one of 17 precincts reporting, the four incumbents in the race for District 196 school board seats are in the lead, of seven total candidates.
