Pet of the Week: Diesel is Darling Yellow Lab Puppy

He will need someone home much of the time to continue his training. He is crate trained and working on housetraining.

Editor's note: This is a weekly series called "Pet of the Week" where we feature a companion up for adoption from Dakota County animal rescues. Diesel is a darling, 12-week-old, yellow lab mix. He will likely top out around 40 to 45 pounds when full grown.  He has had his first puppy shots, been dewormed, frontlined, and has a HomeAgain microchip.  Diesel is being fostered in Lakeville for a Happy Hound Rescue and is doing very well in his foster home. Pet of the Week: Tad, a Charming Beagle, Would Love a Companion Dog

Tad is fine with cats and would love a canine playmate in his new home.

Pet of the Week: Scarlet is Loving and Gets Along With Other Pets

Scarlet gets along great with dogs of all sizes and also with cats. She enjoys having people around and walks well on a leash.

She is gentle, sensitive, and loving. She's very small for a redbone, and weighs about 45 pounds. Scarlet is being fostered for a 5013c rescue in Lakeville and is doing very well in her foster home. Pet(s) of the Week: Sweet Female Pups Looking for a New Home

Their mother is a 45 pound shepherd mix and the father is an unknown breed.

These sweet girls were born just four days after their pregnant mother was rescued from an impound. They have been raised in foster for a 501c3 rescue and are very well socialized. They enjoy other dogs and love kids. Their mother is a 45 pound shepherd mix and the father is unknown (although likely a breed with longer fur). It is estimated that they will be approximately 50 pounds full grown.They have been dewormed multiple times, had their first puppy shots, and have HomeAgain microchips. Pet of the Week: William and Henry, Super Cute Yorkie Puppies, Need Home

Both Yorkie puppies love everyone they meet and enjoy being held.

William and Harry are sweet little 8-week-old yorkie mixes who are both looking for a home. They are currently in fostercare in Prior Lake for Happy Hound Rescue. They have had their first set of vaccines, have been dewormed and are microchipped. William is gray and tan while Harry is a beautiful reddish tan color. William weighs 3.75 pounds and Harry is smaller, weighing in at only 2.75 pounds.  Their mother was rescued from a hoarding situation when these puppies were just two weeks old. Pet of the Week: Red is an Adorable Lab/Hound Mix Who Loves Kids

  Editor's note: This is a weekly series featuring a companion up for adoption from Dakota County animal rescues. Red is an adorable 5-year-old lab/hound mix that is so deserving of a family.   He's currently in fostercare in Lakeville with Happy Hound Rescue.  Red gets along great with cats! He is currently fostered in a home with several cats of all ages and doesn't bother them at all. He also loves people, including kids. Red is good with other submissive dogs or would do wonderful as an only dog and get all the attention. He sleeps in a dog bed at night and is also crate trained. Pet of the Week: Annie Loves Kids, Bare Toes, Obedience School

Annie was 16 pounds under weight when she was rescued at the last minute from a high kill shelter. Now she's healthy, in obedience school, and would be great in a home with kids.

  Editor's note: This is a weekly series called "Pet of the Week" where we feature a companion up for adoption from Dakota County animal rescues. Annie is a blend of redbone coon hound and pit bull. Her mix of breeds resulted in a beautiful, smart, loving dog who was rescued from a high-kill shelter at the last possible moment. She came to us with ribs and hip bones showing at 34 pounds at 10 months of age. After some good groceries, she now weighs 50 pounds which is full grown. Annie would make her a great running partner and she loves kids. Aside from sleeping on her back with all four feet in the air, she loves to play with the resident dog.
