Though the increase wasn't quite at the levels of the past handful of months, a 3-percent increase in July brought the median sale price to $222,000; July was also good to sellers in 2011, though, with a $215,000 median sales price reported during the month last year. The median sales price of homes in the Twin Cities for July 2012 was up 14.3 percent to $179,950, according to the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors.
