Apple Valley Ranks No. 17 on CNN Money's 'America's Best Places to Live'
The annual rankings are determined by economic, housing, education and quality-of-life statistics, as well as arts and leisure opportunities, according to Sun ThisWeek.
Apple Valley is one of three Minnesota cities ranked in CNN Money's 2013 list of America's Best Places to Live.
According to Sun ThisWeek, the rankings are determined by economic, housing, education and quality-of-life statistics, as well as factors such as arts and leisure opportunities.
In its short profile of Apple Valley, the publication said:
"If you don't mind cold winters, there's plenty to recommend this family-friendly Twin Cities suburb."
Money also calls attention to the affordable homes and the city's recent addition of a rapid transit system. Of course, Apple Valley's proximity to attractions, such as Mall of America, as well as the Minnesota Zoo and the city's 53 parks are also noted.
