Rosemount Residents Invited to Weigh In on Senior Complex Proposal

The city will host an open house next week to discuss the ins and outs of the latest proposal with residents.

Developers are ready to present plans for a senior living complex and community center in downtown Rosemount, a project long-sought after by the city.

City officials and the developer, Stonebridge Communities, will hold an open house on Thursday, July 11, to give residents a chance to find out more about the complex, which would be located on the former site of the St. Joseph’s School.

According to a past article in Sun ThisWeek, the city has encountered several setbacks in its quest to build a senior complex at the site downtown, just north of the Steeple Center. Two developers, Doran and Development Representation Associates LTD, have already backed out of the project citing financial difficulties and lagging demand for senior housing, respectively.
