Anarae Schunk Is Dead, Police Tell Family

The family of the University of Minnesota student confirmed the news on Facebook on Saturday. She was last seen in Burnsville.

Police notified the family of Anarae Schunk that she has died, the family reported on the Please Help Find Anarae Schunk Facebook page. 

The message on Facebook reports the following:

Late last night Police confirmed the worst, Anarae is no longer with us. We will leave the page up as a tribute to all the wonderful people who loved and cared for Anarae and all that she stands for. Thank you for your support throughout. Official details to be released by the PD shortly.

The University of Minnesota student was reported missing on Monday, Sept. 23 after her family had not seen her since Saturday, Sept. 21.

She was last seen on surveillance video at Nina's Grill in Burnsville with Anthony Nelson, who was recently charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Palagor Obang Jobi, which occurred in the parking lot of Nina's Grill that same night. 

A $5,000 reward had been offered for information leading to the student.
