Beyond Basic Needs, Vineyard Community Services and Fruit of the Vine Focus on Stability and Lasting Self-Sufficiency
After 6 years of serving Minnesota communities with emergency hunger relief, Fruit of the Vine, the states’ largest single location food shelf, has become a central part of an even greater mission. In December of 2012 Vineyard Community Services (VCS) was established as the new non-profit parent organization of Fruit of the Vine.
Building on the strengths, successes and synergies of Fruit of the Vine, Vineyard Community Services extends far beyond food distribution in the movement to end hunger. VCS is actively working to address and change the root causes of poverty and hunger and to educate, inspire and empower individuals and families toward independence and lasting self-sufficiency.
While VCS is a faith-driven organization founded on Christian principals, it is wholly dedicated to serving all denominations, ethnicities, ages, genders, disabilities, challenges and life experiences. All families and individuals struggling or trapped in the gaps of poverty and need of assistance, encouragement and support for more information contact Vineyard Community Services at 952-567-3688, on line at www.vcsmn.org or visit our facilities at 13798 Parkwood Drive, Burnsville, MN 55337.
