1. Attend the Keynote Address for Earth Day 2011 at the School of Environmental Studies

The School of Environmental Studies in Apple Valley will present an for its students on Friday, featuring Gov. Mark Dayton as the keynote speaker at 8:15 a.m.—the public is invited to hear his remarks. The theme for this year’s event, organized by students at the school, is “Reducing Your Personal Ecological Footprint."

2. Stop by the Dakota County Recycling Zone

The Recycling Zone is your place to get rid of stuff you can’t throw in the trash. From fluorescent light bulbs to plastic bags and cleaning supplies to lawnmowers, make The Recycling Zone your destination for proper disposal and recycling. The Recycling Zone is located at 3365 Dodd Rd. in Eagan.

3. Recycle Writing Instruments at Office Depot
