'The Laramie Project' at Apple Valley High School

The Laramie Project winter play at will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.

From Apple Valley High School:

The Laramie Project is based upon both interviews and journal entries of the people of Laramie, Wyoming. This powerful narrative by Moises Kaufman explores the reactions of those citizens to the torture and murder of Matthew Shepard who died Oct. 12, 1998. The Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act was signed into law by President Obama on October 28, 2009. Thought-provoking and moving, The Laramie Project is unforgettable.
