Rosemount Photo Contest is Back

Rosemount Area Arts Council, parks & rec joining forces for second annual event.

The Rosemount Area Arts Countil and Rosemount Parks and Recreation are teaming up to offer the second annual Rosemount Photo Contest.

There are four categories:

  • Nature (landscape, wildlife, floral)
  • Lifestyle (people, activities, city scenes)
  • Enhanced or altered (significantly, with software)
  • Youth (17-under)

Photos can be of anything in or related to Rosemount. Contest organizers are looking for photos from all seasons.

Photos should be dropped off at the Rosemount Parks & Recreation Office—13885 South Robert Trail, on the lower level—between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Contest rules:

  • Awards will be given for first, second and third place and honorable mention in each category.
  • Photos should be submitted as an 8x10, mounted on foam board, along with a digital image (JPG or PDF) on a flash drive or disc, 300 dpi resolution.
  • Photo backs should be labeled with the following information: Name, address, contact number, category, location and date the photo was taken, and the names of people in the photo.
  • Contest is open to all Rosemount-area residents, and each participant can enter up to three photos.
  • Photos will be displayed and judged—by experienced photographers—during Leprechaun Days. Previously entered photos are not eligible.
  • Submission deadline is 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12.
