What's Closed, What's Open on Presidents Day in 2012?

If you need to take care of business at any of these Apple Valley establishments next week, you'll have to wait until Tuesday. The following offices and businesses are closed Monday in observance of Presidents Day:

• All city offices at the Apple Valley Municipal Center and Central Maintenance Facility
• Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan public schools
• Apple Valley's United States Postal Service branch; there will be no mail delivery on Monday
• Dakota County Galaxie Library and all other Dakota County libraries
• Dakota County offices, including the Western Service Center in Apple Valley

Presidents Day is a federal holiday when banks traditionally are closed. Apple Valley banks closed on Presidents Day include: MidCountry Bank, Eagle Valley Bank, Anchor Bank, M&I Bank and Sterling State Bank.

Some banks in Apple Valley, however, will be open on Monday, including American Bank, Merchants Bank, U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo.

Call your bank before you stop in to see whether it's open on Presidents Day.
