5 Things to Know: Apple Valley Groups Participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Also this week, the Apple Valley Planning Commission will look at further plans for a new Valleywood Golf Course clubhouse.

1. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year is the 25th anniversary.

In Apple Valley, the will bake special pink-ribbon bagels during October, from which a part of the proceeds will go to local breast cancer organizations. Also, at Tuesday's Apple Valley/Eagan volleyball game the team —students have had the opportunity to purchase pink shirts to wear to Tuesday's game.

4. The football team will hold a pancake breakfast fundraiser from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Apple Valley ; tickets are $6, and can be purchased from Eastview football players.

5. From 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, a portion of all purchases made at the Apple Valley will go to the Apple Valley High School speech and debate team.
