Jeff Payette, an employee of the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan school district, was diagnosed with esophageal cancer two years ago. Because he's an hourly employee, he doesn't receive a paycheck when he can't work because he's in the hospital, going through chemotherapy, etc.
Come to Scott Highlands Middle School on Feb. 18 and participate in zumba from 10 to 11 a.m. and turbo-kick from 11:15 a.m. to noon, for $10 per session, to help raise money for Jeff's family.
Stay for the silent auction, lasagna dinner fundraiser and bake sale from 3 to 8 p.m. The dinner is on a donation basis.
