National Carmike Theaters Bomb Threat Cleared in Apple Valley
A bomb threat apparently was called in to Carmike Theaters corporate office Friday morning, but the Apple Valley Carmike Cinemas has been checked and subsequently cleared.
A bomb threat was reported Friday morning to the Carmike Theaters corporate office—not at one specific theater, but directed generally at all its theaters—causing Apple Valley police to check and subsequently clear the of any possible threat or harm, Capt. Mike Marben said Friday.
In Oakdale, where there is also a Carmike movie theater, Oakdale Patch spoke to local police.
"It was a general threat," Oakdale Community Affairs Officer Michelle Stark . "There was no specific location or time frame given."
