Paratrooper, Avid Bowler and Card Player Passes Away

Rosemount resident Dennis B. Deutsch was 76.

Deutsch, Dennis B. age 76, of Rosemount, passed away on November 13, 2013, at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis, MN after a battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Aurelia Deutsch and brother-in-law Dennis Steiner. Dennis is survived by his wife of 53 years Sally, daughters Debbie Jones, Darcy Cascaes (Gregg) son Scott (Ivy), sisters Karen Steiner and Connie Bock (Ed), his 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.  Dennis served in the military as an Airborne paratrooper from 1955-57.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, fast pitch softball, umpiring baseball and football and referring football and basketball.  He was an avid bowler and card player. Dennis and his wife moved to MN from Devils Lake, ND where he was in business.  He was very active in the Lake Region State College and was inducted into Hall of Fame in 2000.  His proudest moments were watching his children and grandchildren participate in the activities they enjoyed.
