Grand Jury Decision in Apple Valley Suicide Case to be Announced Monday

The Dakota County Attorney's Office plans to announce a grand jury's findings about national group Final Exit Network in the suspected 2007 suicide of an Apple Valley woman.

A grand jury's findings about the role of members of national "right-to-die" group Final Exit Network in the suspected 2007 suicide of an Apple Valley woman is slated to be announced Monday afternoon, according to the Dakota County Attorney's Office.

The grand jury was convened last week, according to an Associated Press article.

Apple Valley woman Doreen Dunn in 2007 contacted Final Exit Network after a decade of experiencing chronic pain, the article says.

The article says four members could have been at risk for grand jury indictment, after Dunn, who was 57, suffocated herself using helium and a plastic bag, according to Florida attorney Robert Rivas, a Florida attorney representing Final Exit Network.
