Grice Gets 25 Years in Prison for 2010 Murder of Apple Valley Man

Jonas Gerald Grice, 29, was convicted in October of fatally shooting Anthony Hartman.

Jonas Gerald Grice, 29, of Burnsville, was sentenced Wednesday to 25 years in prison for the 2010 murder of Apple Valley resident Anthony Hartman.

Grice for fatally shooting Hartman, 22, at a Rosemount car wash in July 2010.

The sentence, issued by Dakota County Court Judge Karen Asphaug, includes:

  • 25.5 years in prison
  • Credit for 541 days already served in jail
  • Payment of restitution for Anthony Hartman's funeral costs
  • Payment for any uninsured counseling for Hartman's family
