Rosemount PD Seeks Help In Identifying Assault Suspects

Two women were allegedly assaulted by four suspects - one woman and three men - early Sunday morning.

The Rosemount Police Department is seeking the help of the public to identify four suspects in their early 20s that allegedly assaulted two women walking home from a convenience store early Sunday morning. 

Police arrived on the scene at 2:02 a.m.; the most seriously injured woman suffered a broken jaw, which required surgery, and the other woman suffered minor injuries, police said in a press release. 

According to police, they are looking for four suspects in their early 20s, one woman and three men, who match this description:

  • White female, 5’4"-5”, 130-140 pounds;  sandy blonde, shoulder length, slightly curly hair; wearing khaki-colored shorts with pockets down the side.
  • Light brown skinned male (appeared bi-racial), 5’10” to 6’0", slender build, dark hair in a “buzz” cut; wearing khaki-colored shorts and a T-shirt.
  • White male, very pale or light skinned, 5’9"-10”, very thin build
  • White male, 6’0"; wearing a baseball hat, jeans and T-shirt.  

According to police, the two women were walking westbound on Lower 147th Street when they saw the group of four people east of Cameo Avenue on Lower 147th Street.

Police said the woman in the group jumped on the back of one of the two women walking by and began assaulting her.

"She was eventually knocked to the street and two of the males in the group joined in the assault. The other woman tried to intervene and was also knocked to the street," police said in a press release. 

As a car approached the scene, one of the women tried to flag it down. According to police, the group began to walk away from the victims, however, one of the males returned and kicked one of the victims who was still on the ground in the mouth. 

Police said in a press release that it is believe that is when the woman's jaw was broken. 

Then, the four suspects continued walking west on Lower 147th Street and turned onto Canada Avenue before the victims lost sight of the group, police said.
