Victim in Fatal Collision Near Rosemount Identified

The woman killed in an Empire Township crash on Thursday has been identified as Angela Nicole Wear, 32, of Inver Grove Heights, according to a Dakota County Sheriff's Office press release.

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol are currently investigating the accident, which took place just after 4 p.m. on County Road 46 (160th Street) near Blaine Avenue. The driver of the other vehicle, who has not yet been identified, was hospitalized at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

Wear and the other driver were the only people involved in the head-on, two-car accident, according to a Rosemount Town Pages report.

“There’s a lot of debris,” the Town Pages quoted chief deputy Tim Leslie said Friday. “We’re kind of waiting for the State Patrol to say who crossed the centerline.”
