Boston's Stream Global Services to Move Headquarters to Apple Valley

Mayor Mary Hamann-Roland announced during her State of the City address that Stream Global Services, a customer care and technical support company that employs 30,000 people worldwide, intends to move its headquarters to Apple Valley.

Apple Valley will soon be home to the headquarters of a global company that provides customer care and technical support for Fortune 1000 companies. 

Mayor Mary Hamann-Roland announced during her State of the City address at a luncheon of the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday that Stream Global Services intends to move its headquarters from the Boston area to Apple Valley.

According to its website, Stream Global Services is "a premium business process outsource (BPO) service provider specializing in customer relationship management including sales, customer care and technical support for Fortune 1000 companies."

It employs about 30,000 people in 22 countries, according to its website.

Stream's clients include companies in technology, software, entertainment and telecommunications and more, Hamann-Roland said during her speech.

"In fact, when you've called any of these companies for technical support ... you may have actually been speaking with a Stream support professional and didn't even realize it," Hamann-Roland said.

Stream Global Services CEO Kathy Marinello, an Apple Valley resident, attended the luncheon.

"It's a great community and we're happy to be here," Marinello told Apple Valley Patch after the speech.

Hamann-Roland thanked Marinello for bringing the company to Apple Valley.

"You are an employment accelerator," she said.
