Updated Precinct Boundaries for Rosemount Released

Cities had until April 3 to finalize their voting precinct boundaries due to the state's redistricting plan.

The updated their precinct boundaries and voting locations for the 2012 elections in accordance with the state redistricting plan. The City Council passed the resolutions establishing the new boundaries on March 6.

Cities had until April 3 to finalize their voting precinct boundaries due to the state's redistricting plan. A Minnesota Supreme Court-appointed special redistricting panel released their plan on Feb. 21.

State redistricting occurs every 10 years, after the U.S. Census; the law requires all districts to be similar in population.

Maps of the new precinct boundaries are attached to this article and are also available on the city’s website.

Voting locations for Rosemount’s seven precincts are:

Precinct 1: , 13885 South Robert Trail
Precinct 2: , 14385 Blaine Avenue East
Precinct 3: , 13501 Shannon Parkway
Precinct 4: , 14375 South Robert Trail
Precinct 5: , 14980 Diamond Path
Precinct 6: , 14770 Canada Avenue
Precinct 7: , 14401 Biscayne Avenue West
