Eastview, Apple Valley Debate and Speech Programs Ranked Among Country's Largest

Both high schools' programs are in the top 50 in size in the United States; Eagan High School also makes the list.

The speech and debate programs at and both are ranked in the top 50 in size in the United States, according to a list recently released by the National Forensic League.

Eastview is ranked 14th, with 90 speech participants and 100 debate participants, while Apple Valley is ranked 46th of 3,000 schools in the country; program size, as well as how competitively successful the participants have been, are considered.

Each program has experienced many successes locally, in Minnesota and nationally.

In June, Eastview was named a national school of excellence in speech and debate at the National Forensic League national tournament in Dallas.
