UPDATE: 18 Bands Will Compete in Rosemount High Marching Festival

The host Rosemount High band will give an exhibition performance. Gates open at 4 p.m., and the show begins at 5 o'clock.

Sixteen high school bands in three classes are scheduled to compete this afternoon in the 23nd annual Rosemount High School Marching Festival.

In addition to the bands being judged for awards, the Rosemount High band and the Farmington High band will give an exhibition performance.

Gates and the concession stand open at 4 p.m.

Also kicking off at 4 p.m. is a silent auction that will feature nearly items with a total retail value of more than $49,000. All Silent Auction items are located on the sidewalk near the Rosemount High School Irish Stadium entrance. Bidding ends immediately after the second intermission at 8:15 p.m, and winning bids will be posted at the conclusion of the show, at about 10 p.m.

Admission is $9 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Children 5 and under are admitted free.
