UPDATE: 18 Bands Will Compete in Rosemount High Marching Festival

Sixteen high school bands in three classes are scheduled to compete this afternoon in the 23nd annual Rosemount High School Marching Festival.

In addition to the bands being judged for awards, the Rosemount High band and the Farmington High band will give an exhibition performance.

Here is a schedule of events:

CLASS A
5:00 PM – Farmington (exhibition performance) 
5:15 PM – ROCORI 
5:30 PM – Minnetonka
5:45 PM – Pipestone
6:00 PM – Hastings
6:15 PM – Winona Cotter
6:30 PM - INTERMISSION

CLASS AA
6:45 PM – Chippewa Falls
7:00 PM – Waseca
7:15 PM – River Falls 
7:30 PM – Rochester Lourdes
7:45 PM – CLASS A & AA AWARDS

CLASS AAA
8:15 PM – Cumberland
8:30 PM – Sioux Falls Roosevelt
8:45 PM – Sioux Falls Lincoln 
9:00 PM – Marshall
9:15 PM – Eden Prairie
9:30 PM - Eastview
9:45 PM – Irondale 
10:00 PM – Rosemount (exhibition performance) 
10:15 PM – CLASS AAA AWARDS

Gates and the concession stand open at 4 p.m.

Also kicking off at 4 p.m. is a silent auction that will feature nearly items with a total retail value of more than $49,000. All Silent Auction items are located on the sidewalk near the Rosemount High School Irish Stadium entrance. Bidding ends immediately after the second intermission at 8:15 p.m, and winning bids will be posted at the conclusion of the show, at about 10 p.m.

Admission is $9 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Children 5 and under are admitted free.
