Photos: Eastview Baseball Battles to 5-4 Win Over Burnsville
The Lightning and Blaze now are tied for the top spot in the South Suburban Conference after their extra-innings win.
baseball’s Scott Nelson scored on an extra-inning wild pitch Monday against Burnsville, leading the Lightning to a 5-4 win.
The win put Eastview (4-3, 4-1 South Suburban Conference) in a tie with the Blaze for the top spot in the conference.
Eastview led 3-2 when Burnsville’s Tyler Hanson hit a two-run home run to put the Blaze back up 4-3.

After the Lightning scored a late run to tie the game, the teams headed to extra innings. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded after a wild pitch, Nelson crossed the plate to give the Lightning the win.
