Eastview Legion Baseball Rolls Past Northfield in Tournament
The Thunder will face Stillwater at 7 p.m. Friday for a chance to continue on toward the state tournament.
The Eastview American Legion baseball team advanced in the District 3 tournament with a 13-2 win over Northfield on Thursday in Dundas.
The win put the Thunder in the semifinals against Stillwater. Game time is set for 7 p.m. on Friday at Alimagnet Park in Burnsville.
Second-seeded Eastview has been on a roll sine entering the district tournament. The Thunder defeated Hasting 11-1 to open up play on Wednesday, then rolled past Northfield 13-2 on Thursday.

But Stillwater has been equally dominant. Stillwater, the third seed in the tournament, won its first round game 10-0 over Woodbury Blue, then defeated Forest Lake 6-2 to earn a spot in the semifinals.
Three teams advance from District 3 into the state tournament. The loser of this game will be placed in one of the two runner-up games being played on Saturday and will have the opportunity to still earn a state berth.
