Girls Basketball Teams Take on Section Quarterfinal Foes Wednesday
Apple Valley and Eastview girls basketball play their first playoff games at 7 p.m. Wednesday, both at home.
The and girls basketball teams begin their quests to make the state tournament at 7 p.m. Wednesday, when both play their first games of the section 3AAAA playoffs.
The 21-5 Eastview girls basketball team is seeded No. 1 in the section, and will play No. 8 Henry Sibley at home in the quarterfinal.
The 14-12 Apple Valley Eagles are seeded No. 3, and take on No. 6 Rosemount at home as well.

Winners of the quarterfinal games will play in the semifinals on Saturday at Hamline University. The section championship is scheduled for March 8 at Hamline, and the state tournament will take place from March 14-17 at the Target Center and University of Minnesota's Williams Arena.
