After being down 29-15 in the game against Eastview, the Burnsville Blaze football team came back to win an exciting game, 36-29.

On an uncharacteristically warm (and windy) evening in October, the and Burnsville teams battled in a high-scoring football game that ended with the Blaze on top, 36-29.

The Blaze came out hot and scored on a pass from quarterback Dam Motl to Brian VanderWoude with 7:13 on the clock in the first quarter. They bobbled the snap and hold for the extra point and ran it in for a two-point conversion, making the score 8-0.

With 3:02 on the clock in the first quarter, Burnsville scored again with a run up the center by Jon Blanco.

But the Blaze started their comeback in the fourth quarter with a Dan Motl running touchdown with 10:48 on the clock, and they scored again to tie the game with 6:41 left.
