Photos: Burnsville Football Comes Back to Beat Eastview
After being down 29-15 in the game against Eastview, the Burnsville Blaze football team came back to win an exciting game, 36-29.
On an uncharacteristically warm (and windy) evening in October, the and Burnsville teams battled in a high-scoring football game that ended with the Blaze on top, 36-29.
The Blaze came out hot and scored on a pass from quarterback Dam Motl to Brian VanderWoude with 7:13 on the clock in the first quarter. They bobbled the snap and hold for the extra point and ran it in for a two-point conversion, making the score 8-0.
With 3:02 on the clock in the first quarter, Burnsville scored again with a run up the center by Jon Blanco.

With only 44 seconds left in the first half, Eastview quarterback Ryan Reger made a long run and was finally stopped at the 1-yard line. On the next play, Eastview's AJ Stockwell powered his way into the endzone. The score was 15-7 at halftime.
With 8:00 on the clock in the third quarter, Reger scored on a QB keeper, and then made a two-point conversion with a pass to AJ Stockwell to tie the game at 15 apiece.

Eastview broke the tie with a running touchdown by Eric Krupke in the third quarter, and with 1:11 on the clock in the third, Eastview blocked a Blaze punt and scored a touchdown a few plays later.
But the Blaze started their comeback in the fourth quarter with a Dan Motl running touchdown with 10:48 on the clock, and they scored again to tie the game with 6:41 left.
With only 1:15 left on the clock in the 4th quarter, the Blaze scored on a pass to running back Jalen Dyson to win the game.
The 2-4 Eastview Lightning will be at next Friday, and the 2-4 Burnsville Blaze will be at Eagan.
